Squat and Lunge Combo “Fun”isher

I love, love, love the basics when it comes to strength and conditioning. Every once in awhile though, you need to find ways take those basics and put a unique spin on them. That’s were a workout finisher like today’s comes in.

It doesn’t get much more basic than a squat and a lunge when it comes to exercises, but I’ve paired them together in a unique fashion to mix things up a bit. We are going to use the goblet variety and do one forward lunge per leg, then one squat. That’s one rep. We are going to do 10 of those the first round and then move on to some kettlebell cleans. Here’s the whole setup:

For Time:
A) (KB Goblet Lunge x1/leg + Goblet Squat x1) x 10, 6, 5, 3
B) KB Clean x 10, 6, 5, 3/arm
